Compliance Technician

About the role

OWL Services is searching for highly motivated people interested in being taught a trade in the Underground Storage Tank (UST) compliance testing industry. Eventually working toward advancement within the company to become a foreman and managing a work crew.

Responsibilities

• Prepping the site for testing
• Setting up testing and safety equipment
• Removal of manhole lids for underground storage tank access
• Driving a DOT registered commercial motor vehicle

Qualifications

• Mechanical background along with a history of working with hand tools
• Experience in trades and/or experience in any industrial/commercial settings a plus
• Can lift 10–50 lbs as well as frequent kneeling, bending, handling, reaching, and standing
• Capable of climbing ladders to install and retrieve equipment
• Ability to work independently and communicate well
• Knowledge of applicable laws, safety, and technical protocols a plus
• Basic knowledge of technology – tablet/phone/computer – for documentation
• Willing to travel in a multi-state area, in some cases being away from home days/weeks (hotels and a generous per diem is provided)
• Must be able to pass a company-paid DOT physical & drug screen and possess a clean driving record
