Compliance Technician
Job Summary
A Compliance Technician performs a variety of professional administrative tasks in support of the compliance function.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintains awareness of regulatory developments in assigned states and documents for weekly distribution.
- Handles complaints and inquiries in accordance with established procedures.
- Assists with the preparation of TPA license documents for annual reporting and renewals.
- Responds to regulatory exam requests and market conduct exams as necessary.
- Produces documents for dispute resolution and litigation support on a timely basis.
- Creates electronic records of filings, reports, complaints, and audits for multiple clients.
- Prepares and submits regulatory reporting requirements via SERFF and paper as required.
- Researches potential OFAC hits using Bridger XG software and assigns alerts to relevant areas.
- Writes and drafts documents, letters, and memos.
- Updates Excel spreadsheets and calls/email State Insurance Departments as needed.
- Supports IAS client compliance departments with year-end data requests and policy data for reporting.
- Prepares and facilitates rate increase filings for clients.
- Conducts research on insurance-related topics for assigned states and releases the weekly TRAX report.
Primary Skills & Responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree or FLMI designation (preferred)
- 2-5 years of proven health/life insurance experience (preferred)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products
- Excellent communication, documentation, and research skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
