Contract (1099) position for 13 weeks, approximately 40 hours per week at $26/hour.

About the role

As a vital member of our Compliance team, the Compliance Specialist ensures all temporary healthcare professionals meet regulatory and client-specific compliance standards prior to assignment start dates. This position plays a key role in maintaining the integrity of our services by upholding standards set by HIPAA, OSHA, The Joint Commission, Homeland Security, Trio WFS, and various client organizations. Responsibilities

  • Initiate and manage the compliance onboarding process for all new healthcare contractors.
  • Review, verify, and maintain credentialing documentation including but not limited to background checks, drug screenings, immunization records (MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B), TB testing, and physicals.
  • Collaborate with staffing agencies and internal stakeholders to ensure all compliance requirements are clearly communicated and fulfilled on time.
  • Conduct daily follow-ups to ensure critical deadlines are met and proactively escalate any delays or issues to leadership.
  • Monitor, track, and report on upcoming or missed credential expirations during assignment periods and obtain updated records as necessary.
  • Support internal performance goals by ensuring compliance metrics align with Joint Commission standards and Trio WFS benchmarks.
  • Maintain accurate records within Trio WFS' proprietary Vendor Management System (VMS), Trio.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–2 years of experience in credentialing, onboarding, compliance, or staffing operations.
  • Experience working in high-volume administrative or compliance environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
  • Ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple systems including VMS and credentialing platforms.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with State Backgrounds and Fingerprinting.
