Responsibilities
- Reviews and analyzes a variety of accounting transactions involving State, Federal, Community funded programs and other funding sources.
- Ensures transactions are recorded properly, are debited/credited to the appropriate source, and comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Affords assistance with the preparation, maintenance and monitoring of WRFCHC accounting functions, including budget and payment activities, invoicing, financial reporting, communications with vendors, reconciliations and re-budgeting, financial status reports for each department of the WRFCHC system, final invoices, purchase order liquidations, and final reporting.
- Aid in analyzing complex financial data and preparing accurate records and reports.
- Manage purchasing card transactions through an external credit card management system.
- Proofread and reconcile all accounting records to check for arithmetical accuracy, completeness and compliance of regulations.
- Establishes and maintains accurate confidential records and files and communicates effectively both verbally and in written form under the stress of strict deadlines.
- Gathers and prepares data and documents for a variety of financial reports.
- Maintains appropriately filed documents for easy retrieval, report processing and for audit purposes.
- Reconciliation of travel for assigned funding sources.
- Other duties as assigned to maintain and enhance the operation of the program.
