Compliance Specialist

Description This position is a point of contact for Kalsee team members with questions related to state and federal laws as well as regulations that Kalsee is required to adhere to. The compliance team provides support through phone contact, Microsoft Teams, as well as email. This position will also provide oversight of internal processes performed by other departments to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures. This role also reviews activity associated with different levels of risk to Kalsee, as well as Kalsee’s membership. Duties/Responsibilities Internal audit utilizing Daily Audit Link Reviews for transaction integrityMembership and account opening reviewsDaily abnormal activity monitoring reviewRecommend and track transaction activity for training, control enhancement, and continued educationReview and process CTR’sReview and recommend reporting of SAR’sProcess Bi-weekly FINCEN 314(a)Assist with Credit Union Internal ControlsProcess OFAC Scans Provide internal support via phone and emailBranch cash auditsReview activities for compliance with Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering / Office of Foreign Assets Control regulations and participate in annual training as required by the BSA/OFAC Compliance Officer. #zr Requirements Knowledge/Experience Proficiency with Microsoft Office products 2 years minimum previous financial institution experience required2 years previous credit union compliance experience preferred Aptitude for handling member / co-workers’ issues effectively and professionallyTeamwork oriented with the ability to work in a detailed, intense, multi-task environmentSound communication skills – verbal & written Education/Certifications Bachelor’s degree preferred, High School Diploma or Equivalent required BSA Certification preferred but not required ACH Accredited Professional preferred but not required
