About the role
The Compliance Specialist will support the credit union's regulatory compliance program by working closely with the Compliance & BSA Officer.
Responsibilities
- Aid in reviewing and updating compliance policies and procedures
- Maintain awareness of new and changing regulations and assist in implementing required updates
- Support internal compliance reviews and monitoring activities
- Investigate compliance concerns or complaints and prepare related reports
- Maintain documentation of compliance activities and regulatory reporting
- Aid in employee training on compliance policies and regulatory updates
- Ensure compliance with BSA/AML regulations and internal policies
Requirements
- 1-2 years of banking or credit union experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to interpret regulations and apply them to operational processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
- Strong organization and time management skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience
