Compliance Specialist

About the role

The Compliance Specialist will support the credit union's regulatory compliance program by working closely with the Compliance & BSA Officer.

Responsibilities

• Aid in reviewing and updating compliance policies and procedures
• Maintain awareness of new and changing regulations and assist in implementing required updates
• Support internal compliance reviews and monitoring activities
• Investigate compliance concerns or complaints and prepare related reports
• Maintain documentation of compliance activities and regulatory reporting
• Aid in employee training on compliance policies and regulatory updates
• Ensure compliance with BSA/AML regulations and internal policies

Requirements

• 1-2 years of banking or credit union experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to interpret regulations and apply them to operational processes
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
• Strong organization and time management skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience
