Compliance Senior Technical Writer

This role operates in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment, producing, editing, and maintaining high-quality, audit-ready NERC compliance documentation for the Enterprise NERC Reliability Assurance (ENRA) organization.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex regulatory, technical, and operational inputs into clear, accurate, and consistent process documentation.
• Collaborate closely with compliance specialists, subject matter experts, and leadership to document processes, procedures, and supporting materials that withstand regulatory scrutiny.
• Support meeting facilitation, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement to ensure documentation completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Technical Communication, English, or a related field; or a four-year technology degree with an emphasis in technical communication; or equivalent related professional experience.
• 4–5 years of technical writing or documentation experience.
• Ability to manage multiple documentation efforts simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Visio and process mapping.
• Must be local to Columbus, OH (onsite role at 1RP downtown).
• Potential to convert to a permanent role; candidates must indicate willingness/ability to convert on their resume.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
