Job Context
A leading export-oriented Ready-Made Garments (RMG) manufacturing company is looking for a highly competent, experienced, and dynamic Compliance Manager to lead the Compliance Department. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with buyer requirements, local labor laws, international standards, and regulatory obligations while maintaining a safe, ethical, and sustainable workplace.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the overall compliance function for the factory.
- Ensure compliance with buyer Codes of Conduct, especially Primark Ethical Trade Requirements, and other international compliance standards.
- Handle all RSC (RMG Sustainability Council) inspections, remediation activities, follow-up actions, and documentation.
- Coordinate and successfully manage buyer social, technical, environmental, and security audits.
- Develop, implement, and monitor compliance policies, SOPs, and internal control systems.
- Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Labour Act, Labour Rules, and other applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor factory compliance regarding health & safety, fire safety, electrical safety, building safety, environmental compliance, and worker welfare.
- Conduct internal compliance audits and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Liaise with buyers, third-party auditors, regulatory authorities, and certification bodies.
- Maintain all compliance-related records, reports, and documentation.
- Lead compliance training programs for employees, supervisors, and management.
- Work closely with HR, Administration, Production, Engineering, and EHS teams to ensure continuous compliance improvement.
- Prepare periodic compliance reports and present compliance status to top management.
- Ensure timely closure of audit findings and corrective action plans.
- Perform any other compliance-related responsibilities assigned by management.
