Compliance Associate

About the role

Working with the compliance team on a multitude of duties related to new carrier contracts, carrier insurance records, safety scores, contract dates and insurance compliance as related to certain customer contracts.

Responsibilities

• Update motor carrier records as required tracking items such as: Motor Carrier Safety Scores, Authority and Authority Histories, Contract Dates
• Understand the Ryan Transportation Motor Carrier contracts
• Understand various Shipper contracts in place with Ryan Transportation
• Be able to operate various facets of multiple dispatch services such as McLeod & Mercury Gate Assist
• Compliance Department with various steps of the motor carrier setup process
• Perform various administrative/support duties such as scanning, printing, faxing, and copying
• Aid in high value load insurance in both LTL and Full Truckload
• Aid in filing and resolving cargo claims in both LTL and Full Truckload

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of the commercial transportation industry; familiarity with McLeod or Mercury Gate is an added bonus
• Strong Microsoft Outlook skills necessary
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, complex functions and knowledge of pivot tables
• Basic knowledge or how to read and understand a certificate of insurance
• Basic knowledge of the flow of paperwork in the lifecycle of a load; Rate confirmation, Bill of Lading, Delivery Receipts, Invoices
