Compliance Assistant (Bank)

Responsibilities
- Provide compliance support as well as monitor and document compliance activities
- Ensure compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations, specifically Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA)
- Manage HMDA software
- Monitor and document compliance activities, track documentation related to new account opening
- Review OFAC and other software daily alerts
- Aid in conducting surprise audits
- Assist the Internal Auditor with reconciliation of the bank’s official check accounts
Requirements
Strong ethical judgment, strong analytical and research skills, high attention to detail, knowledge of banking regulations, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure.
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Tech-savvy and quick learner
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experience with Fiserv and Quest software is a plus
Skills
Strong analytical and research skills, high attention to detail, knowledge of banking regulations, problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure, and tech-savviness.
