About the role

The Office of Financial Aid is responsible for coordinating and administering all student financial assistance awarded to USF students, in compliance with Federal State and Institutional regulations and guidelines. The office is the main point of contact for all financial aid program information for current and prospective students and parents.

Responsibilities

  • Awards athletic aid and monitors reports that are specific to athletes and coordinates refunds with the Student Accounting Services Office.
  • Affords assistance in the review of Return of Title IV (R2T4) aid.
  • Processes and monitors federal grant programs and related reports.
  • Affords assistance in the review of uncashed funds.
  • Provides financial aid counseling to prospective and current students and their families regarding annual financial aid eligibility, University policies, and federal and state regulations.
  • Responsible for interpreting student Federal, State and Institutional financial aid, and NCAA rules and policies.
  • Affords support to other teams within the financial aid office during peak times in support of the goals of the department.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of one year of professional experience in financial aid, student services, or related areas is required; however a minimum of two years of demonstrated customer service experience may substitute for the entire one-year experience requirement.
