Complex Litigation Associate Attorney

About the role

This position offers hands-on experience across a broad range of complex litigation matters, including:

• General liability
• Premises liability
• Transportation
• Personal injury
• Insurance and other civil litigation matters

Responsibilities

Associates will have the opportunity to manage cases from inception through resolution, working closely with experienced partners while taking on meaningful responsibility early.

• Manage an active caseload from intake through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda
• Take and defend depositions
• Appear in court and attend mediations
• Communicate directly with clients and provide strategic updates
• Collaborate with a broader national team on complex matters

Requirements

The team is intentionally flexible on background and class year, targeting attorneys with 3+ years of litigation experience, with the flexibility to hire at the Associate and Of Counsel level.

• Strong candidates may come from a variety of practices, including:
• General liability / insurance defense
• Personal injury (plaintiff or defense)
• Employment litigation
• Premises liability or transportation
• General Litigation with an interest in GL

Qualifications

Importantly, the firm is also open to:

• Attorneys looking to transition into complex defense litigation from adjacent practice areas
• Litigators with strong foundational skills (writing, depositions, case management), even if their experience is outside of traditional general liability

Pay

Compensation: 150K-225K Depending on Experience
