Shift 1st Shift Description
The Complex Engineer will be responsible for managing engineering activities at six (6) complex locations (2-Hatcheries, 1-Feed Mill, 1-Processing Plant, 1-Debone Plant and 1-Prepared Foods/DC Plant). The engineering activities include supporting operations management to promote continuous improvements within the complex. Design and develop improvement opportunities working with management teams and outside resources to explore opportunities for process improvements. Function as the project manager for assigned projects managing scope, schedule and budget. Communicate effectively to all levels of management.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred with 10+ years of experience in industry related roles.
- 5+ years of work experience (prefer Food Industry related with Poultry emphasis).
- Must have experience with managing projects with multiple internal and external professional teams.
- Able to recognize continuous improvement projects and develop found opportunities into projects (Six Sigma Green Belt preferred).
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Comfortable with speaking to large groups of people and leading project teams.
- Excellent computer skills (MS Outlook, Power Point, Word, Excel and Access).
- Excellent CAD skills (AutoCAD, Revit and 3D).
Physical Requirements
- Typical office environment within a manufacturing plant utilizing computers, telephones and other office equipment.
- Frequently sit for long periods.
- Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
- May be exposed to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production lines.
- May be exposed to damp, wet, and cold environments.
- Work around live chickens and/or raw to partially cooked meat protein odors.
- May be exposed to building structures up to 200 feet tall.
