Complex Commercial Litigation Associate

Key Responsibilities

• Handle complex commercial litigation matters in Illinois state and federal courts
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs and other substantive filings
• Manage all phases of discovery, including large-scale document and e-discovery matters
• Work with expert witnesses and support expert development strategies
• Take and defend depositions
• Aid in trial preparation and trial proceedings
• Cook up litigation strategy and case management across sophisticated matters

Who You Are

• 3rd year – 5th year associate
• Broad-based commercial litigation experience from a top-tier law firm or comparable experience through a Federal Court clerkship
• Experience managing complex discovery matters
• Strong motion practice and deposition experience
• Excellent research, writing and analytical skills
• Outstanding academic credentials
• Strong organizational and case management abilities
• Admitted to the Illinois State Bar

Compensation

Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experience – $260,000 – $365,000
