Complex Claim Director – Mass Tort Unit

About the role
This role is hybrid, requiring 2 days per week in one of the following locations: Carrolton, TX; Downers Grove, IL; or St. Peters, MO. Jurisdictional coverage spans the entire United States. Active adjusters' licenses in Texas, Florida, and New York are required.
Responsibilities
- Apply claims management experience to execute decision-making, analyze claims exposure, plan the proper course of action, and appropriately resolve claims.
- Interact extensively with various parties involved in the claim process to ensure effective communication and resolution.
- Provide exceptional customer service to claimants on behalf of clients, exhibiting empathy through each step of the claims process.
- Handle claims consistent with clients' and corporate policies, procedures, and standard methodologies in accordance with statutory, regulatory, and ethics requirements.
- Document and communicate claim activity timely and efficiently, supporting the outcome of the claim file.
- Investigate, evaluate, and resolve General Liability claims, applying analytical skills to make informed decisions and bring claims to resolution.
- Work in partnership with clients to deliver innovative solutions and enhance the claims management process.
- Think critically, solve problems, plan, and prioritize activities to optimally serve clients.
Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- Minimum of 3 years of related claims experience.
- Appropriate licensing and/or certification in all states where claims are handled.
- Knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices.
- Computer experience with related claims and business software.
Qualifications
- Claims Background: General Liability Claims such as Restaurant and Retail premises, foodborne illness, slip and fall type claims.
- Jurisdictional Experience: United States.
- Active Adjusters' licenses: Required in NY, TX, FL (preferred).
- Desired: Bachelor’s Degree.
