About the role
The Completions Lining Trainee at Comlux America LLC is an entry-level position designed to provide hands-on training in aircraft interior installation techniques. This position involves assisting with the installation of aircraft cabin lining components such as headliners, sidewalls, and interior panels under direct supervision.
Responsibilities
- Assist technicians with the installation of aircraft cabin lining components including headliners, sidewalls, and interior panels.
- Learn proper handling, preparation, and installation techniques for fabricated aircraft lining components.
- Assist with preparation of work areas, tools, and materials required for installation tasks.
- Support technicians by retrieving materials and ensuring components are available to maintain workflow.
- Follow all department safety procedures and ensure proper use of tools and equipment.
- Learn to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and material specifications related to aircraft interior installations.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with documentation requirements in accordance with the Comlux Repair Station Quality Manual (RSQM) and other quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Participate in training programs to develop knowledge of aircraft interior installation processes and company procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Technical or trade school training in aviation maintenance, cabinetry, carpentry, or related skilled trades is preferred.
- 0–1 year of experience in manufacturing, cabinetry, interior installation, or related technical field is preferred.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language is required.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn aircraft interior installation techniques are essential.
Skills and Abilities
- A strong willingness to learn aircraft interior installation processes and techniques is required.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under close supervision is necessary.
- A basic understanding of hand tools and shop equipment is beneficial.
- Good communication and teamwork skills are important.
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn company software systems are helpful.
- A willingness to learn RSQM procedures and FAA regulatory requirements related to aircraft interior installations is crucial.
- A strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards are essential.
Work Environment
- This position is based in an aircraft hangar environment and may involve:
- Exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions
- Loud noise levels
- Use of heavy machinery and specialized tools
- Potential contact with chemicals or hazardous materials
- Working in confined aircraft interior spaces
