Compensation Programs Senior Analyst

For our client, a leader in the Retail & Consumer Goods space, the Compensation Programs Senior Analyst will shape and manage compensation programs that support a global workforce and align with broader people and business objectives. The role partners closely with HR and cross‑functional stakeholders to improve compensation cycles, streamline processes, and strengthen program execution, while contributing to analysis, communications, and systems enhancements.

Location

San Mateo, CA – US‑based candidates only; no visa sponsorship available.

Compensation

$209,130 – $244,500 annually.

Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and manage compensation programs and policies.
• Lead global compensation program implementation, particularly for bi‑annual reviews.
• Collaborate across teams to identify opportunities for automation and process enhancement.
• Implement systems to support compensation cycles effectively.
• Create strategic communication materials for senior management.
• Build and refine Excel models for compensation program analysis.
• Streamline compensation processes through enhancements with Workday, Jira, and Zendesk.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in technology, compensation, consulting, finance, or related fields.
• 5+ years in progressive HR and compensation roles with increasing responsibility.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel for analyses and model development.
• Knowledge of current trends and developments in compensation practices.
• Exceptional quantitative, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong project management and organizational abilities.
• Familiarity with Workday; experience with SQL, Python, and Tableau is a plus.
