About the role
As a Compensation professional, you will play a key role in helping the organization attract, motivate, develop, and retain a high-performing workforce through competitive and equitable compensation programs. You will serve as a trusted consultant to HR, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders, providing guidance on compensation strategies, job evaluations, market pricing, pay structures, and incentive programs.
In this role, you will analyze compensation data, identify trends, and deliver actionable insights that support informed business decisions. You will partner closely with Talent Acquisition to ensure offers are competitive, aligned to market conditions, and internally equitable. You will also collaborate with HR, Finance, Organizational Development, and Employee Relations teams to support organizational changes, job architecture initiatives, and ongoing compensation needs.
You will contribute to annual compensation planning, promotion cycles, equity reviews, salary survey participation, and regulatory compliance efforts. Leveraging technology, analytics, automation, and emerging AI-enabled solutions, you will help improve process efficiency, data quality, reporting capabilities, and the employee experience. Responsibilities
- Analyze compensation data, identify trends, and deliver actionable insights to support business decisions.
- Provide guidance on compensation strategies, job evaluations, market pricing, pay structures, and incentive programs.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure competitive and equitable job offers.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, Organizational Development, and Employee Relations teams on organizational changes and job architecture initiatives.
- Contribute to annual compensation planning, promotion cycles, equity reviews, salary survey participation, and regulatory compliance.
- Improve process efficiency, data quality, and reporting capabilities using technology, analytics, automation, and AI-enabled solutions.
- Handle highly sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Travel to company offices, sites, and meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events up to 5% of the time.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of Compensation or Total Rewards experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR
- High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 9 years of Compensation or Total Rewards experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR
- Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of Gallo HR experience to include 3 years of Compensation or Total Rewards experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
- Strong analytical and complex problem-solving skills; ability to take a new perspective using existing solutions.
- Detail-oriented with an emphasis on accuracy, coupled with the ability to see the broader picture and summarize complex data.
- Broad working knowledge of compensation principles, practices, and procedures.
- Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to juggle multiple tasks while delivering high-quality results.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer skills: Intermediate MS Word, MS Excel, and database; basic MS PowerPoint.
- Must be 18 years or older.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or Human Resources plus 7 years of Compensation or Total Rewards experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; consulting experience with a major firm is a plus.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Global Remuneration Professional (GRP); Lean Six Sigma experience or certification.
- Experience with ADP, Pay Factors/PayScale, and SAP systems; advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Experience working with mathematical concepts such as statistical inference and applying concepts like fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Skilled in solving practical problems, interpreting instructions, and applying established procedures to non-routine situations requiring evaluation, critical thinking, originality, or ingenuity.
Pay
$93,800 - $140,600 per year. This position may also be eligible for bonuses, incentive plans, or participate in tasting room tip pools, as applicable. The actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
