About the role
Mechanical Supervisor for power and chemical plant projects. The role requires hands-on expertise in piping, equipment, and structural installation, as well as pre-commissioning activities.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in site safety programs.
- Ensure construction practices comply with operational requirements.
- Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
- Maintain safe working conditions and standards.
- Conduct internal walk-downs and prepare punch lists for piping systems.
- Inspect welding joints of various materials (carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy, etc.).
- Witness Welder Qualification Tests (WPQ).
- Prepare and review Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for piping and equipment.
- Witness and ensure compliance during hydro tests, pneumatic tests, and service tests using approved test packages.
- Prepare and maintain periodic reports for management.
- Witness chemical cleaning, water flow tests, salt filling to cold tanks, steam blowing, air blowing, ACC cleaning, and plant start-up.
Requirements
- Experience in power or chemical plant projects.
- Expertise in piping installation, equipment installation, and structural installation.
- Experience in construction, pre-commissioning, and related activities.
