Companionship Volunteers Needed
About the Role
Residential Hospice is seeking compassionate volunteers to provide companionship to patients at home or in long-term care facilities. As a volunteer, you will offer emotional and social support, which may include reading, conversation, writing letters, documenting a patient’s personal story, or giving respite to caregivers.
Responsibilities
- Visit patients in their homes or long-term care facilities to provide companionship.
- Engage in activities such as reading, talking, or listening to patients’ stories.
- Assist with writing letters or documenting a patient’s personal history.
- Provide respite for caregivers, allowing them brief breaks.
