About the role
Residential Hospice is seeking volunteers to provide companionship to patients at home or in long-term care facilities. Duties may include reading, talking, writing letters, sharing personal stories, or offering respite to caregivers.
Responsibilities
- Visit patients at home or in long-term care facilities
- Engage in activities such as reading, talking, writing letters, sharing personal stories, or offering respite to caregivers
Requirements
- Driver’s License
- Background Check
- Attend Orientation
Qualifications
- Age 18+
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Pass drug and TB checks
Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Patience and empathy
- Ability to engage in meaningful conversations
