About the role
Residential Hospice is seeking volunteers to provide companionship to patients at home or in long-term care facilities. Duties may include reading and talking to a patient, writing letters, sharing personal stories, or offering respite to caregivers.
Responsibilities
- Visit patients at home or in a long-term care facility
- Engage in activities such as reading, talking, writing letters, sharing personal stories, or providing respite to caregivers
Requirements
- Driver’s License
- Background Check
- Attend Orientation
Qualifications
- Age 18+
- Age 55+ (optional, if relevant)
Skills
- Listening skills
- Patience
- Comfortable with elderly individuals
