Companion Caregiver Needed in Cape Coral - Flexible Schedule

About the role

Community Resource Network of Florida is looking for a fun, compassionate, and dependable caregiver committed to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) achieve their highest level of independence and live their best life. This role supports a 56-year-old male with companionship and community outings. The position is offered on an independent contractor basis, not as an employee of the company.

Pay

$16.00 hourly

Schedule

Two flexible days per week between 3pm-9pm

Responsibilities

• Encourage and support the individual during home activities
• Assist with personal hygiene tasks
• Prepare meals and perform light cleaning
• Ensure the individual's safety and maintain a safe living environment
• Facilitate community involvement by accompanying the individual to social events, community outings, grocery shopping, and appointments
• Promote communication, choice, independence, and socialization
• Complete daily progress notes

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Must be able to pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening
• Proven 1 year of caregiving experience or technical training
• High School diploma or equivalent
• 18 years of age or older
