Companion Caregiver

About the role

HomeWell Care Services is hiring non-medical caregivers for Carlsbad, Oceanside, San Marcos, Poway, La Jolla, and surrounding areas. Our Care Managers know you by name and are available to assist caregivers, provide additional training, and take immediate calls. Day shifts and evening shifts are available. We are looking for reliable, compassionate people who want to grow their career in the home health care field by providing non-medical care in clients' homes. Responsibilities

• Providing companionship to seniors
• Assisting with activities of daily living, including bathing and bathroom assistance
• Performing light housekeeping tasks
• Planning and preparing meals
• Providing medication reminders
• Providing transportation to and from appointments

Qualifications

• Experience is a plus but not required; if you have cared for a family member or enjoy helping others, we want to hear from you
• Ability to treat clients with dignity and respect and have a strong work ethic
• Must have negative TB test results within 90 days of hire
• Strict adherence to all state regulations and standards as a home care aide
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Must pass a criminal background check and be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to be reached via phone or email for shift schedules
• Able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs
• Second language skills are a plus — helps you earn a higher rate and offers more job opportunities. We serve a diverse community of clients who may ask for caregivers who speak Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, and more.
