About the role
Always Best Care of Greater Bristol is hiring Caregivers in the Greater Waterbury area. We work with each Caregiver to understand their availability, prior experience, and preferences. Caregivers can choose their own schedules based on client needs, with opportunities to work 10–20 hours, 20–40 hours, or in select cases, more than 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Provides daily routine care such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Responsible for house maintenance when applicable
- Answers phone calls for clients when necessary
- Converses with patients to provide assurance
- Observes Universal Precautions
- Provides patient transportation to doctor appointments, outside activities, and shopping
- Handles patient laundry and linen changes
- Performs light housekeeping
- Provides medication reminders
- Prepares meals and cleans up afterward
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Non-Medical Caregiver (at least three years preferred)
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Must have a cell phone or tablet
