Companion Care Provider

I am a 6-year-old girl in Wausau looking for a long-term Companion Childcare Provider to join me in making memories and having fun! I love cooking, baking, arts and crafts, anything Disney, swimming, and outdoor activities. Faith is an important part of my home life.

About the role

This is a 1:1 care position focused on activities, learning, and overnight stays. The ideal candidate will have experience with children and a desire to make a lifelong impact.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate activities aligned with the child’s interests (e.g., arts and crafts, baking, Disney-themed fun, swimming, and outdoor play).
• Create opportunities for learning and building confidence in new skills.
• Ensure safety and supervision at all times, exercising good judgment.
• Provide transportation within the community for activities.
• Offer a safe space in your home for potential overnight stays.

Requirements

• Must be mature, responsible, and demonstrate safety at all times.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Previous childcare experience required.
• Must pass a criminal background check and be at least 18 years old.
• College students are encouraged to apply.

Pay

$16.80 per hour, with higher pay for shifts over 8 hours or overnights (to be discussed during the interview).

Schedule

40+ hours per month, including overnights in the provider’s home.
