We are seeking a Companion Caregiver to join our team for day and overnight shifts with a lovely couple residing in an assisted living facility. The facility handles their personal care; your role will focus on companion care.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and conversation
- Prepare breakfast and escort clients to the dining room for other meals
- Take clients outside for walks within the facility property
- Engage clients in activities within the building
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to improve the client’s living environment
- Assist with laundry and linens
- Remain alert during overnight shifts to ensure safe bathroom use
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Caregiver, Home Health Aide, or similar role (preferred)
- Knowledge or experience with dementia
- Ability to pass a background check
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, respectful, ethical, patient, and kind demeanor
- Ability to multi-task and adjust to changing needs
Schedule
- Day and overnight shifts available
- 12 and/or 24-hour shifts possible for the right candidate
