This is not a desk job - you’ll be actively engaging with individuals and families across Queens to promote mental wellness, facilitate access to care, and build strong, supportive connections. What You’ll DoConduct outreach using in-person, digital, and phone strategies targeting youth, young adults, and their support networksRepresent Bleuler at community events, schools, houses of worship, and public forumsFacilitate wellness activities, psychoeducational groups, and recreational eventsProvide brief counseling, screenings, referrals, and linkages for those in needDeliver public education and promote mental health resources across Queens neighborhoodsOffer treatment-adjacent support including crisis de-escalation, stress management, academic/vocational navigation, and moreBuild trusted relationships with community-based organizations, local agencies, and familiesComplete accurate documentation and participate in required OMH and BPC trainings and meetings What You’ll BringHigh School Diploma or GED requiredTwo years of experience or coursework in social work, mental health, human services, or public healthStrong communication, cultural humility, and community knowledge of NYC neighborhoodsReliable, compassionate, adaptable, and mission-drivenBilingual or multilingual skills strongly preferredProficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with data trackingMust pass NYS Justice Center background clearancePreferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a human services-related fieldExperience in trauma-informed care and community mental healthNYC residents and individuals from highly impacted communities are strongly encouraged to apply Why Join BleulerBleuler Psychotherapy Center is a nonprofit mental health clinic serving Queens for over 75 years.
