About the Role

JPI has an exciting opportunity for a Community Technology Project Coordinator to join our Design Department in Dallas, TX. This role assists the Senior Community Technology Manager with research, design, design review, and coordination, focusing specifically on low-voltage items including access control, CCTV, structured wiring, data, audio/video, smart building technology, ERRC, and EV.

Responsibilities

Design Coordination

• Attend weekly design meetings to ensure low-voltage scope is represented and appropriately planned in drawings with third-party design consultants (Architects, MEP Engineers, Landscape Architects, Interior Designers, etc.).
• Design low-voltage drawings while coordinating with interior and exterior low-voltage design consultants.
• Review low-voltage design drawings in Revit for standards, track edits, and coordination issues.
• Review coordination issues (CI) and address within 5 days.
• Review selected shop drawings and material submittals.
• Assist in coordination of amenity layout with Design Managers, Asset Management, and vendors.
• Assist in coordination of fitness equipment standards with Design Managers and vendors.
• Maintain low-voltage master schedule for:
  • Design deadlines for each project’s SD, DD, CD, and IFC sets.
  • EV correspondence documents and requirements based on city.
  • Low-voltage deliverables tracking.

Construction Coordination

• Assist Senior Community Technology Manager in CA project handover meetings.
• Attend periodic OAC meetings and site visits at different stages of construction to ensure delivered product aligns with plans and specs, identifying areas for enhancement.
• Review RFIs pertaining to low-voltage items from the job site and consultants’ responses for completeness; document findings in Procore and stamp within 2 days.
• Review shop drawings pertaining to low-voltage items for completeness; document findings in Procore and stamp within 5 days.
• Review submittals pertaining to low-voltage items for completeness; document findings in Procore and stamp within 5 days.
• Assist with construction administration conformance review.

Technology Implementation

• Coordinate internet service providers' design intent with DFX.

Non-Essential Functions

• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 7 years in low-voltage design, low-voltage project management, or roles with exposure to low-voltage design and/or installation.
• Demonstrated ability to project manage and work effectively with architects, superintendents, and subcontractors.
• Proficiency in typical office software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams.
• Proficient in Revit and Procore.
