About the role
Make a difference every shift at BRC, a 24/7 program that supports individuals experiencing homelessness.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, orderly residential environment through active monitoring and rounds
- Engage residents using trauma-informed and de-escalation techniques
- Respond to conflicts, safety concerns, and crises professionally
- Screen residents and visitors while maintaining dignity and security
- Provide emergency support (First Aid/CPR, Narcan – training provided)
- Complete documentation (logbooks, incident reports, progress notes)
- Support fire safety procedures, inspections, and compliance
- Assist with meals, escorts, inventory, and facility upkeep
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Strong communication skills and basic computer proficiency
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain professional boundaries
- Willingness to obtain required certifications
Qualifications
- Preferred: Security Guard license, Food Handler Certificate, or similar certifications
- Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
Skills
- Experience in trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and crisis intervention
- BRC-sponsored certifications (CPR/First Aid, Narcan, Fire Safety Guard, etc.)

Pay
- $18.00 - $20.00 per hour based on experience
Schedule
- Full-time, 37.5 hours/week
- Morning, evening, and overnight shifts available
- Mandatory overtime required
