Community Support Professional - Mental Health Skill Building

About the role

The Community Support Professional provides mental health skill building supports to individuals with behavioral health diagnoses. Works as part of the team to ensure individuals are developing skills needed to help them build a recovery plan and live optimally in the community.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support and skill-building activities to individuals with behavioral health diagnoses.
• Collaborate with the team to develop and implement recovery plans for individuals.
• Assist individuals in accessing community resources and services that support their recovery goals.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress and address challenges.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with at least a Bachelor's degree in special education, social work, psychology, or an approved human services related field.
• Current registration with the Virginia Board of Counseling as a QMHP-T required with a completion of QMHP required within one year of employment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with behavioral health diagnoses is preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of community resources and services relevant to behavioral health.

Pay

$44,850 - Depending on Experience
