COMMUNITY SERVICES ASSOCIATE B/PEER SUPPORT SPECIALIST - NELSON (FULL TIME)

Job Summary

The Nelson County ACT Team is recruiting for a Registered Peer Recovery Specialist to partner with severely mentally ill adults to help them live successfully in the community.

Responsibilities

- Engage, motivate, and support ACT consumers. - Work with a diverse population of adults with mental illness in the community. - Utilize person-centered approach and service planning skills.

Requirements

- High School Diploma or GED. - Bachelor’s degree and QMHP-A preferred. - One year of experience preferred. - Peer Recovery Specialist certification required. - Valid Virginia Driver’s License and acceptable driving record. - Certificate of valid personal automobile insurance for business use of a personal car.

Pay

- GRADE 8 (Non-Credentialed): $19.11 - $28.66 per hour - GRADE 9 (Credentialed): $21.02 - 31.53 per hour

Schedule

Full-Time (Non-Exempt) Rotating on-call shifts are eligible for additional compensation.
