About the Role
This is a FLSA non-exempt position. The incumbent assists in fulfilling the duties involved with the provision of the continuum of crisis services within the Center. At times, the incumbent may be the only staff member on site, requiring a high level of professionalism and excellent attendance. The role reports to the Director of Crisis Services and involves proceeding alone under standard practices, with referral of questionable situations to the supervisor or other staff as needed. Standard practices allow for independent accomplishment of recurring tasks and prioritization of the work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Perform duties in accordance with applicable professional ethics and established Region Ten policies.
- Operate independently under standard practices while referring complex or questionable situations to a supervisor.
- Prioritize and manage work schedule autonomously.
Requirements
- Must meet Virginia qualifications as a Qualified Mental Health Professional in Training (QMHP-T) or possess full QMHP status.
- Bachelor’s degree in a human services program is preferred.
- Minimum of two years’ experience working with individuals with behavioral health needs is preferred.
- Valid Virginia Driver’s license and proof of personal automobile insurance are required.
Qualifications
- QMHP status or eligibility for QMHP-T status in the Commonwealth of Virginia (required).
- Experience in community mental health (preferred).
Schedule
40 hours weekly; evening, overnight, holiday, and/or weekend work may be required.
