Community Sales Lead
About the role
Lead the charge in transforming membership sales and retention! STATION Austin is the newly launched nonprofit home for the entrepreneurs, investors, and public-sector leaders who are shaping the future of frontier innovation. We are looking for a high-energy Community Sales Lead to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute strategies to increase revenue through new membership sales, retention, and upsells to other STATION Austin engagement opportunities.
- Own the full sales lifecycle for memberships and office space, ensuring you meet and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
- Maximize the use of HubSpot for sales pipeline management and member ecosystem engagement — with built-in processes for retention and upselling — and look for new ways to optimize sales process efficiency using AI-driven automation.
- Own the memberships sales budget and forecasting exercises alongside the Community Engagement Manager and Finance Team, develop membership sales and retention KPIs, and provide accurate, data-driven reporting in weekly meetings.
- Work with the Community Specialist in achieving high occupancy and retention rates.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with the Community Engagement, Workplace, Events, Marketing, Sponsorships, Programming, and Partnerships teams, as well as all of our Partners, to maximize value creation, participation, and product sales across the STATION community.
- Curate the community by providing a premium experience to all members and visitors of STATION Austin, ensuring we fill the space with the best startups and community partners in Texas.
Requirements
- Maintain an accurate pipeline in the CRM and use it extensively to prioritize activities.
- Use CRM software before, ideally.
- Be a ball juggler and enjoy a busy schedule.
- Understand the nature of the sales-related position and be excited by the upside potential.
- Be outgoing and able to talk to just about anyone.
- Be a documentor and look for opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and experiment with AI tools.
- Be organized and plan ahead, but not stressed out when things change at the last minute.
- Have your own reliable laptop computer & smartphone for work.
- Plan to stay in Texas for at least two years.
Benefits
- 4 weeks paid time off (one week is between Christmas and New Year's)
- Personal health, vision and dental insurance paid 100% by Capital Factory
- Additional benefits such as 401k program (50% company matching), life insurance, short & long term disability and employee assistance program
- $1,000 personal innovation budget on your first year anniversary and then an additional $500 each anniversary thereafter
- Coworking membership at Capital Factory with garage parking space, metro pass, or rideshare credits and access to the onsite gym
- A priceless network
About Our Team
We have a passion for startups and technology. We are transparent and we over-communicate. We have excellent written and verbal communication skills. We communicate when we are not able to meet a deadline and suggest a solution. We are professional and presentable and greet everyone cheerfully. We're ready to deal with an immature student, a pushy salesperson, top VC's, a Fortune 500 CEO, and even the President of the United States. We are excited to work in downtown Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and Washington, DC., and have reliable transportation. We have a quiet place where we can work remotely with fast internet. We are security aware. We have a passcode on our computers and phones and use a password manager. We are able to efficiently use the Google suite of productivity tools (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides). We are available to work at CF House during SXSW (Spring Break), DREAMCON (one week long staff summits twice a year), and Austin Tech Week.
