About the Role

This position is responsible for providing on-site sales support to increase occupancy to budgeted levels. Sales support includes conducting a SWOT Analysis, Preparing an Annual Competitive Analysis, Performing Community Outreach, Creating Referral Networks, contacting prospects, and closing sales.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Executive Director to achieve the community's occupancy, move-in, and revenue targets.
  • Acts as a liaison between community resources and the Executive Director.
  • Assists the Executive Director in formulating the annual marketing/selling plan and budget, and maintains the projected budget.
  • Develops and implements plans to market and sell for assigned communities.
  • In cooperation with the Executive Director, develops and implements marketing and selling plans, calendars, and activities for the community.
  • Collaborates with the leadership team to develop and implement community-based special events and activities.
  • Increases awareness and participation in outside events, professional groups, and community involvement to develop inquiries and move-ins.
  • Maintains annual market competitive analysis.
  • Responds promptly to every internet, telephone call, or in-person inquiry from referral sources, prospective residents, and families.
  • Acts as the single point of contact for referral agencies.
  • Closes sales by assisting prospective residents and their families in the decision-making process.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with resident, family, and professional referral sources to generate leads weekly.
  • Utilizes sales processes, systems, and forms to track information, compile data and reports, and achieve community occupancy goals.
  • Monitors progress of Sales Plan implementation for assigned communities.
  • Trains and coaches the Executive Director and backup team in marketing skills, strategies, and techniques, with a focus on sales and closing skills.
  • Conducts community/cluster/team training sessions on marketing and selling techniques.
  • Collaborates with the Executive Director, management, and ownership to develop and execute marketing plans.

Requirements

  • Ability to adhere to assisted living principles.
  • Ability/willingness to perform all position responsibilities adequately.
  • Ability to communicate and work within all levels of the company while following reporting paths.
  • Ability to recognize and communicate problems appropriately.
  • Ability to appropriately relate to the public, residents, families, staff, and other professionals.
  • Ability to teach/train others effectively.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet job requirements.
  • Ability to travel and maintain a car in good working order with a current driver’s license and auto insurance.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and provide information as requested/required.

Qualifications

  • Successful experience in marketing/selling/closing sales of assisted living, housing community-based care, health care, etc.
  • High school diploma required; college degree with a concentration in marketing or equivalent sales experience preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification required.
  • Attendance at mandatory in-service training and meeting continuing education requirements for the job classification and position.
