About the role
Oaks Senior Living is seeking a Community Relations Director for one of their communities in Georgia. The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of experience in Senior Living management and leadership, along with a passion for working with seniors and their families.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an effective marketing plan to include visiting with referral sources, hosting events, and placing advertisements.
- Build positive relationships with the surrounding community, particularly referral sources.
- Educate employees on their role in marketing and touring the facility.
- Attend and participate in community groups and meetings to build good will and educate members about the facility.
- Maintain up-to-date records of all communication with prospective customers and track each prospect.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with prospects by listening to their needs and presenting the benefits of the facility.
- Provide regular reports to the executive director regarding sales achievements and the implementation of the marketing plan.
- Supervise caregiver staff and review daily communication tools used in providing resident care.
- Lead by example, encourage teamwork, and provide ongoing coaching to employees.
- Respond to on-the-job injuries in accordance with Oaks Senior Living policies and procedures.
- Carry out other duties as assigned by the executive director.
- Comply with Oaks Senior Living policies, training programs, and state and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Successful experience in sales and marketing in a long-term care setting.
- Computer experience and ability to use or learn sales programs.
- Ability to interact and build relationships with older adults.
- Thorough knowledge of State Regulations preferred.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must have a satisfactory criminal history check.
- Must have a physical exam by a licensed physician with a negative drug screen.
- Must be able to react in an emergency situation.
