About the role

Mil Mujeres Legal Services is an organization that helps victims of violence by petitioning for immigration status with The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services. We provide low-cost legal services to low-income families who would not otherwise be able to afford legal services.

About The Opportunity

Make an impact in just one day. Mil Mujeres is seeking passionate volunteers (18+) to join our Con Cora Information Booth Tour, a nationwide outreach initiative taking place during one of the largest Latina entertainment tours in the United States. Through our partnership, volunteers will staff the Mil Mujeres information booth, helping connect women and families with free legal resources, information about domestic and gender-based violence, and community support services. This is a one-day volunteer opportunity, making it perfect for students, professionals, and community members who want to make a meaningful difference without committing to an ongoing volunteer schedule. Please Note Volunteers will serve only at the Mil Mujeres Con Cora Information Booth located in designated public areas of the venue. This opportunity does not include concert admission or tickets.

Volunteer Responsibilities

  • Welcome visitors to the Mil Mujeres Con Cora Information Booth.
  • Share information about free legal services and community resources.
  • Distribute educational materials on domestic and gender-based violence prevention.
  • Answer general questions about Mil Mujeres' programs.
  • Aid with booth setup and breakdown.
  • Help create a welcoming and supportive environment for community members.

No Legal Experience Is Required

Training and materials will be provided before your volunteer shift.

Volunteer Requirements

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Be friendly, dependable, and comfortable interacting with the public
  • Have an interest in supporting survivors of domestic and gender-based violence
  • Be able to stand for portions of the volunteer shift
  • Arrive on time for orientation

Spanish is a Plus, But Not Required
