Community Mortgage Bank Sales Consultant (SAFE)

About This Role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to sit within assigned bank branches and originate mortgage loans. The role involves collaborating with branch leadership, participating in branch huddles, mentoring and coaching employees, performing outbound calls to existing and prospective customers, interacting with customers to understand their needs, providing high-quality customer service, analyzing and offering mortgage loan products, processing loan applications, maintaining high client satisfaction, pursuing training, adhering to policies and procedures, and staying informed of industry trends.

Responsibilities

- Conduct outbound calls to existing and prospective customers regarding mortgage loan products. - Complete associated tracking activities. - Interact with customers to understand their needs and provide high quality customer service. - Inform prospective and existing customers of Wells Fargo Home Mortgage programs. - Analyze and offer mortgage loan products based on the client's needs. - Process low to moderately complex loan applications for mortgage transactions and review rates and terms within guidelines. - Ensure timely and proactive customer communication. - Pursue Wells Fargo training offerings to increase knowledge of company products, policies, and procedures, and underwriting requirements. - Adhere to policies, underwriting requirements, compliance requirements, and loan procedures. - Collaborate with fulfillment partners to meet the needs of clients throughout the origination process. - Stay informed of mortgage industry trends and developments in the assigned market. - Develop and maintain a high degree of visibility for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in the marketplace.

Requirements

Job Expectations

- SAFE registration at the time of employment. - Compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations. - SAFE registration process initiated immediately after employment start date. - Meeting applicable financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness, and criminal background standards. - Current credit report used to assess financial responsibility and credit fitness. - Ongoing employment contingent upon meeting all such requirements, including acceptable background investigation results. - Loan Originator (LO) requirements under Regulation Z, including meeting qualification requirements and complying with related policies.

Non-Exempt Roles

- Compensation includes an hourly base pay rate that meets or exceeds applicable minimum wage requirements, with the opportunity to earn additional commission. - All pay complies with applicable minimum wage laws.
