About the role
The Community Manager at Oakdale Apartments is responsible for leading a team of leasing agents and maintenance professionals to provide a great experience for residents. Key responsibilities include processing community staff payroll, ensuring collections of all monies due, maintaining acceptable levels of occupancy, reviewing rental applications, and performing move-out paperwork and inspections.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of leasing agents and maintenance professionals
- Process community staff payroll
- Ensure collections of all monies due to the community
- Process community invoices for payment
- Purchase and maintain adequate supplies for the community
- Maintain positive relationships with the community owner/s and its residents
- Review rental applications for approval
- Complete move-out paperwork according to governing regulations
- Perform unit move-out, annual, and housekeeping inspections in a timely manner
- Audit all resident files and ensure they are complete and correct prior to forwarding to supervisor for review/approval
- Timely completion of reports required by government agencies, administrators, or the Company
- Maintain the community to Company standards
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Experience: 1+ year previous experience as a residential property manager, with HUD / Section 8 experience a big plus. Or, 3 years previous experience in a general manager position, or similar, with exceptional people leadership and process management experience.
- Education: High School diploma, or associate’s degree is a big plus. Having COS, LIHTC, HCCP, AHM is a plus – you will be given the chance to obtain as an associate.

- Operational Excellence: You’re deadline driven, with a keen eye for detail, compliance, and quality.
- Tech Savvy: You have great computer skills and fluent with Microsoft Office suite, and experience with Yardi is a big plus.

- Career in property management or a related field
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of property management software (Yardi)
