Responsibilities

• Abides by Fair Housing Laws
• Leases properties and strives for quality residency
• Handles financial activities and banking duties
• Troubleshoots resident problems and encourages renewals
• Inspects property to maintain quality
• Prioritizes subordinate work
• Collects rent and issues eviction notices
• Hires and disciplines employees
• Safeguards residents’ safety and comfort
• Encourages positive resident relations
• Prepares financial reports
• Liaises with outside contractors
• Oversees building repairs
• Participates in budget preparation
• Attends corporate meetings
• Approves and submits invoices
• May schedule property improvements
• Supervises pool personnel

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• May have prior supervisory experience in a customer service environment
• Current Fair Housing Certification
• Valid Driver’s License (if operating a vehicle)

Preferred Skills/Abilities

• Advanced college courses in management, public relations, or accounting
• At least two years of property management experience
