COMMUNITY LIAISON (in either Bemidji, MN; Fergus Falls, MN; or Fargo, ND)
About the role
Horizon Health Corporation is seeking a Community Liaison in either Bemidji, MN; Fergus Falls, MN; or Fargo, ND to support our new 24-bed inpatient psychiatric unit for adult and pediatric patients, Altru Behavioral Health Center in Grand Forks, ND. The Community Liaison serves as the liaison between the facility, the community, and referring agencies, creating demand for the facility’s services through ethical marketing principles and sales methods.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate and implement Sales Excellence and Service Recovery standards.
- Act as liaison between the facility and referral sources; implement service-oriented action plans responsive to referral source needs.
- Serve as a resource and representative to the community; conduct facility tours for key stakeholders.
- Attend and actively participate in Business Development team meetings; provide marketing reports, updates, and Service Recovery opportunities to the Director of Business Development.
- Maintain documentation of assigned top accounts, key contacts, planning reports, client profiles, competitive profiles, and updates as required.
- Build and maintain positive and productive relationships with existing referral sources; identify additional referral sources.
- Maintain a daily average of 8-10 individual, face-to-face contacts with assigned referral sources regarding facility programs, treatment philosophies, and clinical outcomes.
- Develop and communicate appropriate sales messaging for each program and target audience.
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan for existing and potential referral sources within assigned territory and target markets.
- Assess, develop, and implement sales activities to achieve maximum market penetration among assigned accounts and identify potential accounts.
- Daily monitor referral inquiries and admissions statistics; analyze effectiveness of weekly sales action plans.
- Maintain current awareness of industry trends and utilize this information to modify sales action plans and business development strategies.
- Facilitate positive, timely, and accurate communication; encourage cooperation and problem-solving among the facility, referral sources, patients, families, and the community.
- Maintain up-to-date information in MedSeries 4/MIDAS/MEDIK, including documentation of daily contacts and accurate account information.
- Complete all required reports (e.g., expense reports, sales call plans, post-call follow-up reports) in a timely manner.
- Participate in off-hours sales and community activities as required by the Director of Business Development and facility needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field required. Experience may be evaluated on a case-by-case basis in lieu of a degree.
- Prior marketing and/or sales experience within a behavioral healthcare setting preferred.
- Three years minimum documented experience in referral development, account management, sales growth, and physician relationships preferred.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
