About the role

As our Community Impact & Philanthropy Manager, you'll help shape that impact. You'll build strategic plans and partnerships that create lasting change, inspire more than 1,000 employee-owners to give back, build a culture of service across the organization, and tell stories that connect our people to a greater purpose. The manager is not only responsible for shaping the strategy, but also for actively managing the partnerships and processes that support it. This role is part of our Internal Communications team within Human Resources and reports to the Director of Internal Communications.

  • Inspire staff member engagement. Plan and lead volunteer programs, donation drives, and community events. You’ll also lead the strategy and management of our internal giving platform, making it easy for staff members to connect with causes they care about.
  • Measure and grow our impact. Track program outcomes, analyze data, manage our community investment budget, and translate results into insights that strengthen future strategy and demonstrate measurable impact.
  • Tell stories that matter. Partner across the organization to communicate the impact of our community investments through compelling storytelling, internal communications, and contributions to Room & Board's annual Impact Report.

Requirements

  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality results.
  • Exceptional communication, writing, storytelling, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience using data, reporting, databases or giving platforms to track program outcomes, demonstrate impact, and inform future strategies.
