Position Summary
The Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office is seeking a Community Engagement Liaison to develop and manage outreach, programming, and connections with community groups, civic associations, and external stakeholders throughout Philadelphia.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement community relationships, programming, and events to positively impact public safety, reform, and community transformation strategies.
- Facilitate, connect, and collaborate with local law enforcement, community-based groups, faith-based organizations, neighborhood schools, and other community institutions.
- Coordinate ongoing indoor and outdoor community events such as community tours, block parties, and street fairs.
- Maintain support and effective communication for all community partnerships established.
- Attend, speak, and present on behalf of the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office at community events, townhalls, and other related gatherings.
Qualifications
- Earned a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Three or more years’ experience working in public relations, community engagement, or related experience.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with diverse groups of people.
- Strong desire and ability to communicate, relate, and work with diverse communities and stakeholders.
- Develop and conduct presentations and training sessions.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems and manage conflict.
- Ability to think and plan strategically.
- Available to attend and represent the DAO at events and engagements on evenings & weekends.
- Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License & willing to travel within Philadelphia and surrounding counties.
