Community Engagement Lead e-Cyclist - Amazon
About the role
The Community Banana Stand is a fun initiative to connect with the community. Northwest Center staffs the stands with upbeat "Banistas" who make each interaction special. The Community Engagement Lead e-Cyclist will lead the team, train new hires, and ensure outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Assists with daily setup of the banana stand.
- Rides the electric bike to designated locations.
- Provides leadership to a small team.
- Delivers outstanding customer service and creates memorable interactions.
- Ensures bananas are properly organized and maintained.
- Tracks daily metrics and responds to comments and inquiries.
- Attends events with the banana stand.
- Trains new hires and supports Banana Stand openings.
- Conducts monthly inventory counts.
Requirements
- 1 year of customer service experience with community engagement roles.
- 6 months' experience operating a bicycle in an urban environment.
- Valid California Driver's License.
- Passes a drug test.
- Commitment to personal and road safety.
- Commitment to Northwest Center's mission of inclusion.
- Proficient with MS Windows, Excel, and Outlook e-mail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with leadership, co-workers, and visitors.
- Excellent conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle bananas and food products without allergic reaction.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform basic math operations.
- Comfortable operating electric bicycle on public streets and bike paths.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively.
- Ability to walk consistently within a 1.5 mile radius.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language.
- Ability to see both distance and details at close range.
- Ability to identify and understand the speech of another person.
- Ability to stand and/or sit outdoors in all weather conditions above 90 degrees Fahrenheit for 2 to 4 hours at a time and up to 8 hours for the day.

Pay
$33.09 per hour.
Schedule
Full-time (40 hrs/week), Monday–Friday, 7:15 a.m.–3:45 p.m., with occasional nights and weekends, as needed.
