About the role

Supports Truist’s Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and Fair and Responsible Banking objectives by developing and maintaining partnerships with nonprofit, faith-based, trade, and community-based organizations that serve low- and moderate-income and underbanked geographies across the Truist footprint. Delivers community education and engagement activities focused on homebuyer education and financial literacy.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a primary liaison between internal business units and external community partners.
  • Works collaboratively with internal teams to ensure community activities support regulatory requirements, strengthen community trust, and expand access to financial tools and resources.
  • Develops and maintains long-term partnerships with nonprofit, trade associations, faith, and community-based organizations to support outreach and education goals.
  • Tracks outreach activities and partner engagement to support internal reporting and program improvement.
  • Ensures outreach activities align with organizational policies, regulatory expectations, and community engagement objectives.
  • Delivers education using approved curriculum standards and adapts formats (in-person, virtual, hybrid) to meet community partner needs.
  • Provides guidance and support to community partners to ensure accurate, consistent delivery of Truist-approved financial education content.
  • Collects participant and partner feedback to evaluate effectiveness of education activities and inform program enhancements.
  • Maintains documentation related to education activities to support CRA, Fair and Responsible Banking, and internal review requirements.
  • Coordinates scheduling, logistics, and materials for education sessions in collaboration with community partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensures education activities are accessible and appropriate for all audiences, including consideration of language, format, and delivery methods.
  • Shares insights from community engagement with internal teams to support continuous improvement of education offerings and community strategies.
  • Stays informed on best practices in financial education and community-based delivery to enhance program quality and consistency.
  • Sources and creates qualified referrals as a result of community outreach activities.
  • Utilizes Truist technology/system of record to apply referrals for routing to the Centralized Originations team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Experience working with or partnering with nonprofit, trade, faith-based, or community-based organizations.
  • Experience supporting or delivering community outreach, education, or engagement activities.
  • Knowledge of financial education topics such as banking, deposits, homebuyer education, or financial literacy.
  • Strong relationship building, communication, and coordination skills.
