About the role
The incumbent assists the academic program team with the development and pilot testing of nutrition education materials for youth and families. This role plans and coordinates pilot testing of educational materials with clientele, including travel as needed, and supports the dissemination of finalized materials through training and other outreach efforts.
Responsibilities
- Assists academic program team with development and pilot testing of nutrition education materials for youth and families.
- Plans and develop new programs and curriculum and adjust existing resources in a continuing education environment.
- Plan and coordinate pilot testing educational materials with clientele, including travel.
- Support the dissemination of educational materials to clientele and conduct relevant training, as needed.
- Support video production with participating clientele.
- Career development and adjustment of developed materials based on feedback from clientele and partnering agency.
- Coordinate collection of data from surveys and other evaluation tools.
- Collaborate with Extension professionals weekly to develop, monitor and review educational materials.
- Aid 4-H professionals with project deliverables and timelines within scope of work.
Requirements
- Associate degree in related areas and/or equivalent experience/training.
- Thorough analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations, demonstrating organization and problem-solving skills.
- Thorough and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and presentation skills.
- Skill in using business software systems in the completion of work assignments, i.e., Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Bilingual communication/translation abilities in English and Spanish.
- Thorough knowledge of and skill in delivering program.
