Community Canvasser: Protect Reproductive Rights

About the role

This role is a great opportunity to gain experience in leadership, communication & advocacy, community outreach & engagement, campaign work, public policy, and social enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Engage with the public in a friendly and respectful manner
• Deliver a compelling campaign message, and collect complete survey answers from voters
• Participate in staff training to improve outreach skills
• Follow the campaign's safety protocols

Requirements

• Canvasser: Start at $22/hour, can move up to $24/hour if fluent in Spanish
• Team Leader: Start at $24/hour, can move up to $26/hour if fluent in Spanish
• Full-time & Part-time positions available
• Shifts run from 12:30–8:30 p.m. weekdays and weekends

Qualifications

• Prior canvassing experience is preferred, but not required
• Passionate about progressive politics and fostering democracy
• Strong communication skills; enjoy working with other people and being willing to speak with everyone
• Hard worker who stays motivated to engage as many people as possible
• Open to new challenges and interested in building campaign skills
• Culturally competent and able to respectfully engage with teammates and the community

Pay

Schedule

• Positions run through July 31st with possibilities for advancement afterwards
