Community Canvasser

Responsibilities

• Engage with the public in a friendly and respectful manner
• Deliver a compelling campaign message, collect complete survey answers from voters, and persuade voters to sign a clean energy pledge
• Participate in staff training to improve outreach skills
• Follow the campaign’s safety protocols

Requirements

• Passionate about progressive politics and fostering democracy
• Strong communication skills; enjoy working with other people and being willing to speak with everyone
• Hard worker who can stay motivated to engage as many people as possible
• Open to new challenges and interested in building campaign skills
• Culturally competent and able to respectfully engage with teammates and the community
• Prior canvassing experience is strongly preferred, but not required

Qualifications

• Full-time & Part-time positions available
• Starts at $22/hour, Team Lead positions start at $23/hour
• Shift bonuses, paid training, sick pay, and bonuses for friend referrals offered
• Positions run through July 2 with possibilities for advancement afterward
• Shifts run from 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday with the possibility to work part-time or full-time
