About the role
The Community Banking Service Representative (CBSR) plays a crucial role in supporting the consumer services function of a community bank. Journey Bank, with 22 locations and 290 employees, seeks a full-time CBSR to work on-site at the Montoursville Branch.
Responsibilities
- Opens and processes new accounts of all types.
- Maintains a thorough knowledge of bank products and services to assist customers and sell accordingly.
- Solicits new business from both current and potential customers.
- Answers inquiries and resolves problems related to customer accounts and banking services.
- Performs all duties of a teller as needed.
- Assists customers efficiently and professionally.
- Supports the adherence to internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- A minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required, with a preference for an advanced degree in a business or financial related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a teller, and/or customer service or banking experience preferred.
- Proficient in reading, verbal, and written communication, analytical, organizational, and planning skills, and math skills.
- Proficient in computer skills including online, internet, and mobile banking.
- Demonstrates management and/or supervisory skills.
- Can effectively manage multiple tasks and duties within the office.
- Exhibits excellent interpersonal relations, active listening, attention to detail, and a positive professional attitude.
Hours
Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week, including early evening hours and rotating Saturdays, based on Montoursville Branch hours.
