About the Role

Leland Management is seeking a Portfolio Community Association Manager for Volusia County, FL. Community Association Managers (CAMs) are certified and licensed by the State of Florida to ensure communities are organized and operated in accordance with governing documents. This role involves collaborating with the Board of Directors, association attorneys, and contractors to manage the community and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

  • Organize time effectively in a dynamic work environment and balance competing demands across multiple projects.
  • Adhere to high performance standards and model them for staff.
  • Complete projects by motivating, supervising, and directing a team of associates.
  • Foster professional relationships with residents, the Board of Directors, contractors, technicians, and vendors.
  • Analyze and resolve potential problems with exceptional ability.
  • Evaluate policies and make recommendations to the Board.
  • Handle stressful situations with composed authority.
  • Follow directions from supervisors and the Board of Directors.
  • Review financial reports and develop accurate budgets.
  • Manage knowledge of assets, cash balances, fund availability, and cash flow for capital improvements.
  • Maintain current knowledge of state regulatory statutes and community documents, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure property improvement and maintenance of common areas.
  • Prepare for and conduct association meetings.
  • Process violations, work orders, and architectural control applications.
  • Maintain a positive and confident demeanor in changing environments and growing communities.

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
  • Experience with site inspections and conducting meetings is preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, leases, regulations, or similar documents.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).
  • Experience with association software such as Caliber is favorable.
  • Portfolio primarily based in Daytona, Port Orange, or Deland; divisional office in DeBary.
  • Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of managerial experience in the association management industry or a similar field (e.g., hospitality, apartments, real estate).
  • Experience overseeing property or building operations, including staff, service contracts, resident retention, and improvements is favorable.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a Florida Licensed Community Association Manager (CAM) certification.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Requires substantial sitting and computer work, as well as driving for inspections and attending meetings.
  • Must be flexible and available to work occasional weekends and evenings.
